And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
– Luke 2:8-12
Christmas is a joyous time – a time for us to get together and enjoy each other’s company while ruminating on the true reason for the season. More than 2000 years ago, a baby was born in Bethlehem, laid in a manger because there was no room in the inn. Few knew this child was the Alpha and Omega, the King of Kings, the Lamb of God, and would one day pay the ultimate price to save us from our sins so we might join His Father, our Father in Heaven.
After Jesus’ birth, the angels proclaimed in Luke 2:14:
“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth, peace to those on whom His favor rests.”
Let us join in their celebration this holiday season, praising God for the gift of His Son and the promise of eternity with Him.

Our history through video
Have you wondered how our organization came to be? At our Harvesting Generosity luncheon, we unveiled a short video detailing our history, highlighting your impact throughout the city of Memphis and sharing our vision for the future of the Christian Community Foundation. We encourage you to take a moment and watch this exciting glimpse into our organization. It also presents a great opportunity to reach out to someone and share more about CCF!
Your generosity: matched
There’s still time to take advantage of our matching campaign! Request a $300 grant before Wednesday, Dec. 31, and we’ll double your impact by matching your gift.
To request a matching grant:

- Request a $300 grant to the organization of your choosing

This opportunity is available to both current and new fund holders. If God has put someone on your heart to talk with them about philanthropic giving, now is the perfect time!
